This is a useful addition to my amateur RF lab. Meter range is -70 to +13 dBm .5-500MHz The meter movement is a taught-band Simpson I picked up at the Stanwood Hamfest for $5. These movements give great repeatable readings.
The power tap is used with a external dummy load to extend the meter upper range.

We spend a day or so doing orientation with District Rangers to review the trails and refresh our skills. Here you see some of our Rangers demonstrating how you can deal with nuisance wild life.

The setup netted us 2 contacts near 300 Mi on 70cm and 23cm I don't remember the final contact count. Look for results in QST.
