RF micro power meter and 40dB tap

This is a useful addition to my amateur RF lab. Meter range is -70 to +13 dBm .5-500MHz The meter movement is a taught-band Simpson I picked up at the Stanwood Hamfest for $5. These movements give great repeatable readings.
The power tap is used with a external dummy load to extend the meter upper range.

Powerline RFI source

Sometimes finding a powerline noise source is downright easy. This was easy to DF on 130MHz and to spot visually. PSE had it fixed the same afternoon. 6/10 mile away it was still S-8 on 80-40-20-15M.

Amplified DDS VFO

Do you enjoy running vintage gear, yet dislike getting sand kicked in your face just because your KNIGHT or HEATH causes Mr. State Of The Art snivels something about drifting? It's got the stability of a crystal plus it absolutely shouts homebrew. Inside is the New Jersey QRP Club DDS-60 board and three transistor amplifier to easily muster up the drive for any tube transmitter that ran off crystals. Nothing spells CHEAP like an LCD so for a few more bucks the VFD lets the op know the QRG.
