Terrible news this morning. One of my very good buddies and to everyone on the net who knew him as a good buddy "Mark Koopsen KF7OO" became a silent key. My friend Mark, was the most interesting person I have ever met. He led his life his way and was proud of it. He had much to be proud of, a beautiful wife Jan, and two beautiful sons who of course became ham operators, and a slant on life that made one proud to be considered a friend of his. Mark never complained. He took what life handed him and played the hand he was dealt, with never a complaint about the unfairness of it all. I feel that I am a better person for my friendship with him. And I pass my very best wishes to Jan the boys."

Mark was noted as the "Voice of Hamilton" on HF. I spent many an hour chatting with Mark and as Donovan mentioned above, he had a positive spin on life. We will miss hearing his rich toned voice and will cherish his memories for years to come.
