I found this interactive map which casts some thoughts on potential areas of concern if our oceans continue to rise. In addition, it would make sense to asume that a tsunami event could cover the indicated areas. I have the linked map centered so it can be zoomed in over Western Skagit County with around a 23ft rise in ocean waters. It's a thought provoking look.
Be aware that even on a quick internet connection, it takes a little time to load.

Hello folks just and idea for the annual picnic. First of all when is it and date. The date is important. The idea is a neighbor has a smoker business and I was wondering if the club would like all of the fixings of set up plates etc and good smoked food to be provided. A chg of about $12-$15 ea member to have great ribs,chicken and pulled pork just to mention a few item he does. drinks would come from us. The fee is for all of the meat, salad, set up, his time to travel and prepare. Post your thoughts and lets see what happens.

I'm very discouraged by the news that the repeater may not be repaired by the June 5th nine County earthquake drill .The N7GDE wide coverage repeater is well-known in several counties and is part of the club's reputation. The repeater has been used as a local gathering point for hams all-around in addition to its use for weekly nets. Its normal range has been missed. It's my sincere hope that all Club resources will be used to getting it running.

I feel the digital modes looming on my horizon.

So, all you experienced digital operators, what gear do you use, and why do you like it?

Any comments are greatly appreciated, as I gather the info to think about beginning*

Hello Team,

There has been great dialog surrounding the posting of the club roster at both the Leadership and mebership levels. The end result is that we have a version posted that address both the public and private concerns.

We will working together to maintain it as a living document while being respectful of the information contained within.

Many thanks to each of you on your contributions and invovlment.

The club roster has disappeared. There is, in its place, a roster of ARES members by community, but no general club roster. I needed an updated one for 2012 when I discovered this. Can someone either tell me where the current 2012 club roster is located or put it back where it belongs?
